This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service, ensuring strict compliance with the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Indian Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), and Google Chrome Web Store User Data Policies.

We collect personal and usage data through three primary methods: automated authentication, explicit user input, and automated app performance logging.

A. Data Gathered via Third-Party Authentication (Google OAuth)

To simplify your account registration and ensure security, we use Google OAuth. When you sign up or log in, we retrieve and secure:

B. Data Voluntarily Provided by the User

Within the "My Profile" section or during ongoing onboarding, you may choose to provide:

• Mobile Number

• Profession

• Communication & Notification Preferences

C. Automated Geolocation Data

• IP Address Optimization: We use your IP address via automated geolocation to identify your City, State, and Country to automatically fill in your profile details. You maintain the right to manually override and correct these geographic fields at any time in your profile settings.

D. App Performance & Learning Metrics

To calculate your vocabulary acquisition milestones, track subscription limits, and populate your Performance Dashboard, our system logs the following analytics data on a monthly basis:

• Subscription Category, Sign-up Date, and Last Login Date

• Credits Used

• Number of Words & Phrases Acquired

• Number of Words & Phrases Mastered

• Number of Videos Watched & Online Articles Read

• Number of Manual Vocabulary Entries

• Number of Assessments Taken & Average Assessment Score

Our Service requires specific system-level permissions to function as intended. We operate under a strict policy of data minimization:

• Active Tab & Background Script Execution: When you switch the ‘Read & Extract’ toggle button ON within the browser extension, you grant us explicit permission to temporarily access your currently active tab (the specific link of a video or online article). This allows our background scripts to analyze the visible text structure, isolate relevant English vocabulary words or phrases, highlight them dynamically, and compile them to your dashboard.

• Microphone Access: We request microphone access strictly within the "Test Verbal Skills" assessment zone. This permission is utilized locally to capture your voice recording and convert your speech to text for grading speech/writing input-based questions. Voice recordings are processed programmatically and are not stored permanently or shared with third parties.

• Push Notifications: We request permission to send in-app event alerts. You maintain absolute control over this and can switch the notification toggle ON/OFF at any time within your profile settings.
